Limits and behavior

First row supplies unique, nonempty headers. Formulas use cached results; absent cached values produce an error. Local processing. Maximum 10 MB per file, 25 MB total; expanded ZIP contents at most 50 MB and 2,000 entries. Spreadsheet limit: 10,000 cells and 2,000 rows per sheet. Macros are never executed. Originals are unchanged. Cancellation stops active PDF renders and discards stale results; a synchronous library step finishes before the browser can handle cancellation.

Export spreadsheet table rows as JSON

Use a supported XLSX worksheet to produce structured JSON objects from its cell values and column layout.

Can complex Excel workbooks be represented perfectly in JSON?

No. Formula behavior, images, charts and workbook layout are not equivalent to a JSON record array.
