Trace a data problem from input to output.

Use these browser utilities to inspect structured data without running a remote API request. Formatting, transformation and schema validation solve different problems—none guarantees that an external service will accept your payload.

Step 01

Format valid JSON for inspection

Paste the response and check braces, arrays and types. A pretty-printer cannot invent missing syntax or repair arbitrary invalid data.

Step 02

Convert CSV rows to JSON objects

Use a proper header row and inspect quoted fields. Values may remain strings even when they look numeric.

Step 03

Compare two JSON responses

Find property changes by path, without confusing indentation or object-key order with a meaningful data change.

Step 04

Generate a starter schema from examples

Infer an initial JSON Schema from a representative object, then manually refine optional properties and data constraints.

Step 05

Validate against an explicit schema

Check a candidate JSON document against required keys and types; remember that the schema may omit real application rules.

Try a JSONPath expression

Find a nested value with a supported JSONPath path; review matched nodes rather than assuming all path dialects are identical.

Example: why the same response can look different

The objects {"name":"Mira","active":true} and {"active":true,"name":"Mira"} represent the same object properties in a different order. Structural comparison should distinguish that from a genuine change such as replacing true with false.

Format, convert and validate are not interchangeable

Formatting adds readability to valid data; converting changes its representation; validation checks declared constraints. A syntactically valid JSON document can still be incorrect for your API or database.

Privacy reminder

Remove API keys, live JWTs, credentials and confidential customer data from examples, even when a tool describes local browser processing. Review the site's Privacy Policy and your organisation's requirements.
