How to convert lowercase, uppercase and title case
Change text case for a heading, list or paragraph while protecting names and abbreviations.
When a case converter is useful
You may receive a list written in all capitals, a heading that needs sentence case, or text from a system that ignores capitalisation. A converter can apply standard letter-case rules quickly, but the result still needs human review for proper nouns, acronyms and names.
Choose the right transformation
- UPPERCASE: useful for labels that must appear as capitals.
- lowercase: useful for uniform identifiers or informal display text, though lowercasing may be inappropriate for names.
- Title Case: capitalises words according to a selected algorithm; editorial style guides may use different rules.
- Sentence case: usually capitalises the beginning of sentences while leaving other letters lowercase; it cannot know every proper noun.
Run and review a conversion
- Open Change text case and paste the source text.
- Select the desired transformation, then process the text.
- Read the output instead of copying it blindly.
- Correct brand names, abbreviations, headings and language-specific capitalisation as needed.
Source: WELCOME TO CRAFTAI IN INDIA. A lowercase result would be welcome to craftai in india; a polished sentence should preserve the name and country: “Welcome to CraftAI in India.” The converter changes character case, not the editorial meaning of a sentence.
Common questions
Does changing case translate text?
No. It modifies applicable letters and does not change the language or rephrase sentences. Some scripts have no uppercase/lowercase distinction.
What about acronyms such as PDF, GST and URL?
Automated transformations may turn them into “Pdf”, “Gst” and “Url” in certain modes. Restore the correct forms according to your document's style guide.
For documents containing personal names or brand marks, proofread the converted text carefully before publication.
