How to convert JPG photos into a readable PDF
Combine JPEG images into document pages and inspect orientation, page order and legibility before submitting.
When to turn photographs into a PDF
A PDF is often easier to share as a multi-page document than a folder of individual photographs. Common examples include scanned receipts, signed forms, notes and reference photos. Conversion packages the images into pages; it does not automatically make blurry text readable or change a photo into editable text.
Prepare images before converting
- Capture each page on a steady surface with even lighting. Avoid shadows across signatures or small print.
- Crop unnecessary background and rotate images to an upright orientation. Keep the uncropped originals for reference.
- Name or arrange images in their intended page order: for example
01-front.jpg,02-back.jpgand03-attachment.jpg. - Open JPG to PDF, choose your photos in the required order and process the conversion.
- Download and open the PDF. Check both the overall page sequence and the smallest text at a readable zoom level.
Three photos—one cover sheet and two signed pages—should become a three-page PDF when each image is placed on its own page. Check that a phone's automatic rotation metadata has not produced sideways or upside-down pages.
File size and limits
The converter page currently advertises a 10 MB per-file / 25 MB combined input allowance. Confirm limits in the live tool because processing capabilities can change. If an upload target has an even smaller ceiling, compare the final PDF size before submitting.
Common questions
Can the recipient search the text inside the PDF?
Not necessarily. A PDF made from photographs usually contains image data, not recognised characters. Optical character recognition is a separate step and can make transcription mistakes.
Does PDF conversion improve the source photo?
No. Poor focus, glare and cut-off corners generally remain. Retake an unreadable photo instead of assuming a new container format will fix it.
If an authority requires a digitally signed PDF or a particular scanning standard, a basic image-to-PDF conversion may not satisfy that requirement.
