How to use
Open an image, select a lossy export format and quality, then compare the actual input and output byte sizes.
Limits and behavior
Dimensions are unchanged. A smaller file is not guaranteed; the actual size change is shown. This is lossy re-encoding, not lossless PNG optimization. Still PNG, JPEG and WebP only, up to 20 MB, 4 megapixels and 4,096 pixels per side. Animated PNG/WebP are rejected. Processing and downloads stay on your device. Browser decoding applies EXIF orientation; exports do not preserve EXIF, DPI or original color-profile metadata. PNG preserves transparency; JPEG flattens it onto white. WebP export requires a browser encoder and is checked before download.
Image compressor for JPG and WebP output
Reduce an image's file size by re-encoding it as JPEG or WebP with a selected quality level. This online photo compressor is useful for images on websites, email attachments and everyday sharing.
Does stronger image compression reduce quality?
Lossy JPEG or WebP compression can reduce fine detail as quality settings fall. Preview the result and choose a balance between download size and appearance.
