How resizing works

Your browser decodes the image, draws it to a canvas, and exports a new file. Animated images, HEIC, and SVG are not supported. EXIF metadata may not be preserved.

Privacy and limits

Images are processed on your device, with no upload or server request. The source file limit is 20 MB. Output is limited to 8,000 pixels per side and 16 megapixels total to protect browser memory.
