Limits and behavior
Re-renders up to 20 pages, 4 megapixels per page. Output is an unencrypted raster PDF; interactive fields, links, searchable text and signatures are flattened. Only use files you are authorized to decrypt. Local processing. Maximum 10 MB per file, 25 MB total and 100 PDF pages. Encrypted PDFs require the separate known-password decryption tool. Digitally signed input may lose signature validity after any modification; preserve your original. Unsupported or malformed files produce an error. Cancellation stops active PDF renders and discards stale results; a synchronous library step finishes before the browser can handle cancellation.
Open a PDF using its known password
Use this PDF decryption tool for a file you are authorized to access when you already know its password. It can export an accessible copy of supported encrypted PDFs.
Can the tool recover a forgotten PDF password?
No. It does not crack, recover or bypass unknown passwords. Enter a valid existing password for an authorized file.
