How to use

Enter the target width:height ratio. Crop removes outer pixels; pad expands the canvas without scaling.

Limits and behavior

Whole-pixel dimensions approximate the requested ratio. Odd extra pixels go on the right/bottom. Output limits still apply. Still PNG, JPEG and WebP only, up to 20 MB, 4 megapixels and 4,096 pixels per side. Animated PNG/WebP are rejected. Processing and downloads stay on your device. Browser decoding applies EXIF orientation; exports do not preserve EXIF, DPI or original color-profile metadata. PNG preserves transparency; JPEG flattens it onto white. WebP export requires a browser encoder and is checked before download.

Adjust an image's aspect ratio without distortion

Choose an output aspect ratio and use a centered crop or padding to fit the original picture to the new shape. This helps prepare social graphics and images for fixed-size layouts.

Does changing the ratio always preserve the entire image?

Cropping may cut away edges. Padding keeps more of the picture visible but adds surrounding canvas space.
