Limits and behavior
Keys use letters, numbers, underscore or hyphen. Literal string/number/boolean values are inserted. Replacement paragraph formatting follows the first run. Headers/footers/text boxes are excluded. Local processing. Maximum 10 MB per file, 25 MB total; expanded ZIP contents at most 50 MB and 2,000 entries. Spreadsheet limit: 10,000 cells and 2,000 rows per sheet. Macros are never executed. Originals are unchanged. Cancellation stops active PDF renders and discards stale results; a synchronous library step finishes before the browser can handle cancellation.
Replace placeholders in a Word template
Populate supported DOCX paragraph placeholders written with double-brace syntax, for example a name or date field. Useful for simple reusable document templates.
Will placeholders inside every Word object be replaced?
No. The tool targets supported paragraph text. Placeholders in some embedded objects or unusual XML structures may not be handled.
