How to use

Open an image with transparency, choose the replacement color, and export the composite.

Limits and behavior

Uses the image’s existing alpha mask; it does not identify or remove an opaque background. Still PNG, JPEG and WebP only; 20 MB, 4 megapixels and 4,096 pixels per side. Processing stays on your device. Exports apply orientation and discard source metadata. PNG output preserves transparency unless the selected operation composites it.

Add a new color behind a transparent image

Select a background color and fill the image's transparent regions. This is useful for placing a previously cut-out subject on a uniform background.

Will this remove the existing opaque background?

No. It fills transparent areas; opaque background pixels remain unless they were already removed by a separate operation.
