100% leaves brightness unchanged; 0% makes visible pixels black.
Limits and behavior
Operates on decoded sRGB channel values with clipping. Alpha is preserved. Still PNG, JPEG and WebP only, up to 20 MB, 4 megapixels and 4,096 pixels per side. Animated PNG/WebP are rejected. Processing and downloads stay on your device. Browser decoding applies EXIF orientation; exports do not preserve EXIF, DPI or original color-profile metadata. PNG preserves transparency; JPEG flattens it onto white. WebP export requires a browser encoder and is checked before download.
Make a photo brighter or darker
Adjust image brightness to improve visibility or create a darker look. This tool multiplies decoded RGB channel values and previews the resulting picture.
Will brightness repair completely clipped highlights?
No. Increasing brightness cannot recover scene detail that is missing from the original image.
